Media Inquiries

Game Credentials for Media

Members of the media can request press box and/or field passes for football games by sending an email to Matt Wixon ( This includes writers, photographers and videographers who are affiliated with a professional newspaper, TV station or website. Credentials for the press box and sideline must be requested at least 48 hours before the event.  

Game Passes for Team Scouts

Passes for scouts must be requested at least 48 hours in advance of the game by emailing Brent Reese ( Maximum of three scouts per high school program.

Gameday Photography & Videography (Non-Media)

This registration is only for professional photographers who are not employed by a media outlet such as a newspaper, TV station or established website. All professional photographer applicants must have an approved background check through Frisco ISD. (

Parent volunteers will need to obtain football credentials through the appropriate group (Campus Head Football Coach, Band Director, Drill Team Director). Please allow 2-3 working days to process your registration.

   -- Varsity Football --

Frisco ISD will charge $200 for the 2018 season for access to our venues (FISD Memorial Stadium, Toyota Stadium, Ford Center).

Photographers also have the option of sharing photos with the new Frisco ISD sports website and having a link to their photos available for purchase added to the website*. The combined fee for access to the venues and the inclusion of a link to a professional website/gallery is $400. Images that are used on the Frisco ISD website will include a credit line for the photographer.

*Link will include a notification that photographers are not directly affiliated with FISD and that the District does not endorse a particular photographer.

   -- Other Sports and Sub-Varsity Football --

The fee is $100, which covers entrance fees for the 2019-20 season. Non-media photographers must also have a background check and be referred to Human Resources to get a District photography badge. For photographers who would like to have a link to their professional website/galleries added to the Frisco ISD sports website, the fee is $200. (Note: Photographers who pay $400 for combined football venue access and a link to the Frisco ISD sports website do NOT need to pay an additional $200 for other sports.) Professional photographers for sub-varsity football and other sports must also coordinate with Brent Reese ( at least 24 hours prior to the event.

   -- Professional Photographer Background Check Process --

All photographers requesting sideline access during a sporting event must submit to the following (also includes sub-varsity and middle school athletic events):

A background check must be completed online. ( Please register "Athletics Sideline Clearance" under the "District Services" in the far right column. Also indicate your campus to volunteer is "Athletics."

Once a background check is cleared, please fill out GAME DAY PHOTOGRAPHER REGISTRATION. (

Upon completion of the items above, a badge will be provided by FISD HR to validate compliance with the district's new policy. Please bring a check (made out to Frisco ISD) upon arriving at HR.

This new ID badge must be visible while taking photos at any FISD sanctioned sporting event.

FOR VARSITY FOOTBALL- Professional Photographer (not working for newspaper, TV station or established website) must REGISTER IN APP-GARDEN FOR EACH GAME "OPPORTUNITY" you plan to work at LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation email on game day and your name will be on the media list where you can pick up your media credential on game night at the designated location (Memorial Stadium, Toyota Stadium, Memorial Stadium). Credentials will only be given to those on the list.

   -- Sideline Etiquette --

1. Stay behind the line! (or if no visible line, stay a minimum of 3 yards off the playing field out of bounds line.)  

2. Stay out of the referee paths.

3. Do not enter the team boxes. This is generally the areas between the 25 or 30 yard lines. It is clearly marked with box lines.

4. Never use a tripod while working the sidelines. Monopods are recommended for large lenses.

5. Be cognizant of cables from video/TV cameras, especially the sideline remote videoographers.

6. Never stand directly behind a kneeling or standing photographer. If he/she has to move suddenly to avoid getting hit by players, you will impair their movement.

7. Be courteous and polite.

8. Flagrant violators will be removed from the field.
