Congratulations to the Memorial boys golf team for winning the District 9-5A championship.

The Warriors finished the two-round tournament with a team stroke total of 656, four better than second-place Centennial (660) at The Bridges Golf Club in Gunter. Liberty was a close third at 661.

Liberty’s Mitchell Kalka and Centennial’s Waase Iqbal finished atop the leaderboard with two-round totals of 157. Four players were two strokes back at 259: Memorial’s Nathan Pheng, Wakeland’s Will Livermore, Frisco’s Corey Maher and Memorial’s Garrett Cox.
